Bath is a wonderful and vibrant city in the UK, that was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1987.
It is the city of Jane Austen and John Wood. Superb Roman remains, glorious Georgian architecture, spring water spas, and first-class shopping – the golden city of Bath has it all. The Christmas market attracts tourists from everywhere. Festivals and events run throughout the year.
The city is surrounded by many other famous sites that can't be missed: Stonehenge, the Cotswold, Castle Combe, Stourhead, Corsham Court, Lacock, Wells.

Kensington Meadows
Next to the River Avon, Kensington Meadows is the only local nature reserve within the boundaries of Bath. It opened in 1792 as a tourist attraction for the Grosvenor Hotel and was originally called Grosvenor Garden Vauxhall.
It is a great place to practise sport and to enjoy wildlife. Fen and wet woodland with rare plants are the natural habitat for bats, otters and badgers. There is also a modern playground with a slide, a big swing and a great climbing frame, which will not fail to entertain both toddlers and grown ups.

The Kennet and Avon Canal
The Kennet and Avon Canal is a waterway in southern England with an overall length of 87 miles (140 km), made up of two lengths of navigable river linked by a canal. From Bristol to Bath the waterway follows the natural course of the River Avon before the canal links it to the River Kennet at Newbury, and from there to Reading on the River Thames. In all, the waterway incorporates 105 locks.
Boats make this waterway unique but even without a boat there is still plenty to explore. You can take to the water in a canoe or in a rowing boat, cycle or walk along the canal or find a pub (we recommend the George in Bathampton).

Alice Park
A lot of activities take place in this park all week long: rugby training for toddlers, fitness classes for adults, concerts and festivals. Its fenced playground with slide, climbing frame, swings and sandpit is located next to a café and is ideal for parents who want to have a cup of tea while keeping an eye on their children. There are also a scooter and cycling track and a small pond. Finally, the pretty community allotment gives everyone the opportunity to learn about nature and different kinds of fruit and vegetables throughout the seasons.
Larkhall Village
Just a stroll from 4 Percy Place, Larkhall village is a pretty community with a few amenities and which is ideal for those who want to avoid the city centre: a restaurant, a deli, a butcher, a greengrocer, a DIY shop, a hairdressers, a chemist, a post office, two cafés, a theatre (the Rondo Theatre) and a small Co-op supermarket. It is very welcoming and has a great community feel.
